Join us Wednesdays at 6:30 pm in the Church.
You may also join us 1/2 hour before each mass.
Why do we sing? Because singing "is for one who loves," as St. Augustine wrote. We sing to express our love and gratitude to God who has given us the gift of song in the first place.
We sing in response to God as members of Christ's living body, "to help the members of the gathered assembly to join themselves with the action of Christ and to give voice to the gift of faith" (STL 125).
Between now and the new year, there are many activities taking place in the music community! Please plan to attend the Community Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service here at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton church on Sunday, November 18th at 6:00pm. Come give thanks for all our blessings with scripture, prayer and song with some of our fellow Christian brothers and sisters! A reception will follow in the parish hall!
If you can carry a tune, why not thank God for that gift by joining our choir? We strive to set the tone for the most precious celebration of the week through relevant songs that reflect the scripture readings of the day. We want to encourage full, active participation of all in the assembly, lifting our hearts in praise and thanksgiving to our God.
Although it is desirable and helpful, you do not have to be able to read music. It is having the ability to sing and a desire to help lead the Parish in song.
Members sing at all weekend Masses and occasional special Celebrations of Mass. Members decide which Mass they prefer to attend.
The Adult Choir is open to anyone ages 13 and older.
Open to children ages 8-18 who are able to read and like to sing. For more information visit here.
