Choir practice is on hiatus for the summer.
You may still join us 1/2 hour before each mass.
The Second Vatican Council taught that active participation by all the people is demanded by the very nature of the liturgy, which is, after all, a communal act. It is the right and duty of the faithful by virtue of their baptism (SC, 14).
If you can carry a tune, why not thank God for that gift by joining our choir? We strive to set the tone for the most precious celebration of the week through relevant songs that reflect the scripture readings of the day. We want to encourage full, active participation of all in the assembly, lifting our hearts in praise and thanksgiving to our God.
Although it is desirable and helpful, you do not have to be able to read music. It is having the ability to sing and a desire to help lead the Parish in song.
Members sing at all weekend Masses and occasional special Celebrations of Mass. Members decide which Mass they prefer to attend.
The Adult Choir is open to anyone ages 13 and older.
Open to children ages 8-18 who are able to read and like to sing. For more information visit here.
Our Music Director is Jill Austin and can be reached at email@example.com
