Faith Formation

Final Faith Formation Sessions have ended for this year. Please keep checking back here and in the bulletin for information concerning registration for the upcoming year.  Registration typically begins in August.

Summer Fun is scheduled for the week of July 10-14.  Sessions run from 9:00am-Noon.

This year's theme is Construction Inc. (In the Name of Christ) Children will learn about their faith and how to become more faithful followers of Christ using the basic tools of love, obedience, trust, forgiveness/reconciliation, and faith. These 'tools' help them to live good Christian lives and build up the Church. Children enjoy a week of lessons, music, crafts, and fun. Summer fun is open for children ages kindergarten through 5t grade. Registration will begin June 10th and end June 25th.  Cost is $5.00 per child ($6.00 if paying online).  Registration forms will be available online beginning June 10.  Registration can also be completed following weekend masses or during regular office hours from June 10-25.

Summer Fun is scheduled for the week of July 10-14.  Check the bulletin/website in June for additional information/registration.

Each month, a different grade will participate in a musical session during their regular scheduled Faith Formation Session.  Information about the role of music in the liturgy will be presented, and we also hope to open the door for youth participation in our Youth Choir and other musical events. We hope that you will be present and encourage your child to participate in these special sessions.  Questions can be directed to Jill Austin, Director of Music at: jillaustin@seaschurch.net or 910-366-2634.

The musical training will happen during the regular scheduled FF session, and the designated students will sing a prelude music at the 11:30am Mass that day.  If a young person does not wish to sing before the congregation, it is not mandatory. We will still have the FF session to learn about the ministry of music in the Church.
