STEWARDSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON CATHOLIC CHURCH
“Cross
getting heavy? Lighten the burden by sharing your God given gifts”
FAITH FORMATION
Share your faith with others as a catechist
for our children or youth. Share with other adults by joining the RCIA(Rite of
Christian Initiation of Adults) process as a team member.
Sponsor someone going through the RCIA process
or walk with a young person preparing for Confirmation.
Facilitate a Disciples in Mission group or
join one during Advent and Lent.
HOSPITALITY
Become a member of our Welcoming Committee and
help others feel at home in our parish. Join in helping with or attending
Parish Socials such as coffee and doughnuts after mass, pot lucks and soup
nights during Lent.
LITURGICAL
Our parish is always in need of lay people to
proclaim the word as Lectors, serve at the table as Eucharistic Ministers and
assist as Altar Servers in the celebration of the Mass. Cantors, choir members
and those with the talent to play musical instruments also enhance the
celebration. Greeters make newcomers feel welcome at the door and Ushers help
find them a place to become a part of our community.
PARISH GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS
The Altar Rosary invites all ladies of the
parish to join with them in seeing to the physical and spiritual needs of our
community.
The Seton Seniors is a group under the
direction of the county for adults 55 years and older who come together to enjoy
each other’s company in many different social events. There is always room or
one more in this fun loving group.
The Knights of Columbus and the Columbiettes
are nationally known groups who contribute much time and talent to any parish
they are a part of. These groups are called on a great deal in our parish and
are always looking for new members.
OUTREACH
Outreach within our parish includes such
things as visiting the sick and homebound, providing meals for the sick,
grieving, new mothers, etc., doing yard work for the elderly or disabled, and
providing a ride to church or doctors’ appointments.
Outreach to the community at large includes
volunteer work done at Catholic Charities, the Care Clinic, Migrant Ministry,
the Literacy Program at St. Ann School, Right to Life and Project In As Much.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are needed for Public Relations,
Bereavement Committee, Beautification Committee, and the Bazaar Committee.
Seamstresses, carpenters, graphic designers, artist, computer programmers, and
those who are bilingual will also find a place in this parish to share their
gifts.
