Advent Opportunities

The season of Advent is upon us! Scroll down for various events and opportunities these four weeks leading up to the celebration of the Nativity of our Lord!

Advent reflection booklets are available in the gathering space. We have Individual, Family and Senior reflection books this year. Please avail yourself of these resources to spiritually prepare yourself for the Christmas season!

The Angel Tree is in the gathering space! 510 Angels were placed on the tree.  Feel free to take as many angels as you wish. Purchase the requested gift, wrap the gift and return it to the church or parish office by Sunday, December 9th! Failure to return gifts on time will result in the recipient not receiving a gift for Christmas.  This year we are assisting 30 families from Catholic Charities, 100 Foster Children, 64 men from Operation Inasmuch's Lodge, and several International Students from Methodist University. Please call the office if you have any questions.

Living Nativity- Once again we will create a Living Nativity on Christmas Eve. If you are interested in participating, please contact Donna Thompson or Michael Smith in the office. There is a sign up sheet in the gathering space for the various parts and time slots. There is a costume fitting/rehearsal on December 16th at 4:00pm in the parish hall for folks who are going to participate.

Christmas Eve Children's Mass- The children's Mass is 4:00pm Christmas Eve. If your child would like to be an active part of the mass, please sign them up on the sheets provided in the gathering space. Mass begins with children processing in with the parts of the creche. Additional children are needed to participate during the Gospel reading. Children who are signed up to participate need to attend a practice session December 16th at 2:00pm in the church.

Make the church beautiful for Christmas by donating a poinsettia! To donate a flower, use the flower envelope in your offertory packet, or a plain white envelope marked Christmas flowers. You can also donate through the WeShare site.  If you wish your flower to be in memory or in honor of someone, please indicate on the envelope (this can also be done on WeShare). A listing of honoring/memorials will be on the website. The donation is $10.00 per plant.
