On September 11, 1999, several ladies of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish established the Sons of Mother Seton Columbiette Auxiliary 9847. The Auxiliary will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a day of Reflection and Celebration on Saturday, September 28, 2019. It will consist of prayer, music, thoughtful reflection, and remembrance of the many activities in which the Columbiettes have participated. The day will end with the celebration of Mass and Corporate Communion. Working with our parish, the Knights of Columbus Council 9847, families and friends over the past 20 years has been truly rewarding. The ladies of the Auxiliary have been blessed with the love and support of our parish family and for that we are truly grateful. Thank you! The Columbiettes look forward to continuing our service to the church, community and our Knights of Columbus Council for many years to come.

Who are the Columbiettes?

The Columbiette organization is a Catholic women's Auxiliary of the parish's Knights of Columbus Council. Working closely with the Knights, the Columbiettes enjoy the challenges and satisfaction of making a difference.  We can do more for our church, family and community as a Columbiette. We become a more effective Catholic by actively working toward goals of unity and understanding.  We establish these examples through works of charity, devotion and promotion of our Catholic faith and values. We have fun and make new friends and join others in events that bear fruit.  We can and DO make a difference to our church, our families and to the young people of our parish.  Our Patronesses are the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Theresa the Little Flower, and Saint Joan of Arc. Scroll down for additional information/meeting times.

About our Auxiliary:

The Sons of Mother Seton Auxiliary #9847 was founded on September 11, 1999 with the support of the Knights of Columbus Council #9847 and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish in Fayetteville, NC. We are a vibrant service organization of Catholic women age 18 and older who are willing to make a difference in today's society. By conducting a variety of programs, we bring women together enabling them to strengthening their bonds of friendship with other women within the parish community. Columbiettes are committed to the preservation of family life. We address the religious needs of the Church and community where we live, worship, work and play. Columbiettes participate in church, community, family, youth and Knights of Columbus activities.

How to join the Sons of Mother Seton Columbiettes:

Membership in the Columbiettes is open to women 18 years and older who are practicing Catholics in union with the Holy See. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the Precepts of the Church. The first step to joining the Columbiettes would be to contact one of the officers and/or attend one of our open meetings (scheduled in February and September). After attending one of the open meetings and you wish to join the Columbiettes, you will take your First Degree at the next month's meeting. The next and final step to becoming a full member of the Columbiettes is to take your Major Degree.

Auxiliary Activities:

We sell gift cards through the SCRIP Program. You receive the full value of the card, and the retailer gives a percentage to the Columbiettes. There are hundreds of retailers to choose from! Proceeds are used to fund a scholarship for a graduating senior from our parish. Consider the Columbiettes if you need to purchase gift cards.

The Columbiettes host a variety of activities throughout the year. When requested, our Auxiliary assists the Knights of Columbus with various functions.  Some of our activities include: a baby shower for Catholic Charities, a Father's Day event, Parents Night Out, Operation LAMB, Living Rosary, Right to Life Drive and March, and Project In-As-Much.
