Thinking about becoming Catholic?
Do you wonder what's involved in joining the Catholic Church? Are you a member of another religion and want to know what it is that Catholics believe? Is your spouse or friend a faithful Catholic whose way of life and peace of mind impress you? Want that same sense of fulfillment? Are you a Catholic who has never received the sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation?
Let us address these questions (and more) for you as participate in our Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) process here at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. It is for adults who have not been baptized, have no religious background, or of another religion, who are looking to find out more about the Catholic Church.
Contact Carole Samperton at carol.samperton@seasfay.org for more information about this year's process of faith-exploration!
OCIA sessions are held Sunday mornings from 10:15am-11:15am in the parish hall. Download the schedule here: 2024/25 OCIA meeting schedule
We also invite individuals to be sponsors for those going through the OCIA process. The role of the sponsor involves modeling what it means to be a Catholic Christian at a close, personal level to candidates. Being a sponsor is a wonderful, grace-filled experience.
