Diocesan Centennial Book

As the Diocese of Raleigh celebrates its Centennial year, Bishop Luis Zarama reminds each of us of the “mission” history of our diocese. Even before the diocese was officially formed, priests would travel by horse, train or van across Eastern North Carolina to share the Eucharist and our Catholic faith with the people. Today, Bishop Luis encourages each of us to recall those that came before us and to embrace the “missionary spirit” of the Diocese of Raleigh. Each of us can do our own part – and travel in air-conditioned cars! – to share the love of Jesus and the joy of our Faith.

For this momentous occasion, the Diocese has partnered with the the International Publishing House, Editions Du Signe to create a high quality, full color history book of the Diocese of Raleigh.

The book is 300 pages. part one is the history of the Catholic Church in North Carolina. The second part of the book contains images and a brief history of every parish and mission in the Diocese of Raleigh. There will only be one printing of the book. We are aksing that parishioners who are interested in a copy of the book, preorder. This will assist us when we place our order. Click on the picture of the flyer to print out the order form. Bring the form and payment to the parish office by May 13, 2024. We anticipate book delivery in the fall of this year.
