Features of Parish Family Faith Formation:

1. Welcomes everyone – regardless of where they are in their faith journey and life situation.
2. Integrates building relationships, learning, praying, celebrating, sharing stories, eating together, and living one’s faith in one model of faith formation.
3. Develops relationships and active participation in a learning community that teaches, models, and lives the Catholic faith.
4. Strengthens and creates new relationships among people of all ages, enhances their sense of belonging in the faith community, and increases participation in church life.
5. Creates a welcoming and safe environment conducive to promoting faith sharing, group participation, mutual support, and care for one another.
6. Engages people of all ages in a variety of activities that are developmentally appropriate, experiential, multi-sensory, interactive, and participatory.
7. Creates intentional opportunities for younger and older generations to get to know each other, develop respect and relationships, share stories, and more.
8. Supports families by surrounding them with a community of faith and provides parents with opportunities to learn from Catholics who are practicing their faith and raising faithful children.
